Showed his worth today, the importance of having somebody who is prepared to take and run with the ball is huge. Gets us up the pitch and contributed to two penalties.

Having a very impressive start to the season.

No argument. Just wish he'd find the ****ing net not the keeper. It almost looks like some sort of mental block at the minute, it's good that he keeps trying though.

If Barnes could finish on a more regular basis, it's a scary thought for any team playing against him, Vardy and Under in attack. He's got everything else in his locker and his overall game is sensational.

That's the dream, and it's not very far away. It will click for Barnes. It's only a matter of time. And if it happens with an in-form Vardy and Under alongside him, some poor club is in for a right royal hiding.

When do we play Southampton away? 😂

Seriously though, it's a scary thought when it does click for Barnes as he'll be unstoppable with hopefully Vardy in the same form and the likes of Maddison, Tielemans, Castagne, Riccy supporting the attack and creating.

He was very good today. Even in his position it's not always about goals and assists. His movement and ability to carry the ball had Man City in trouble all game long, and he intelligently played lots of great passes. Last week we scored 4 goals and Vardy didn't get any. This week we score 5 and Barnes doesn't score. That shows you we are a TEAM and carry a threat from multiple angles. Great place to be in!

His final ball has improved remarkably, he weights those intricate through balls to Vardy so well. What a player.

Yep, and that's hardly what his game is about so shows you the potential he's got.

He's been involved in all 4 penalties we've won so far this season as well so that goes to demonstrate the threat he carries even if he's not getting goals or assists.

He had one (?) effort yesterday from outside the box which hit Ederson. If that was another player nobody would have batted an eyelid

It was good build up again. Driving run, a player takes a defender out of the way with a decoy run so that Barnes can get a shot away. Not a bad effort!

Will eventually becomes Vardys successor.

His confidence will grow and he will find his scoring boots.

Did you mean that in a general, ‘starring role’ kind of way? Or do you think the club eventually see him operating as an out and out striker?
