Well any competent manager that wasn't trying his best to actively sabotage his team would take lessons from previous games.

They would see how much better Nacho and Daka were as a pair versus isolated Vardy alone up top.

They would see how Castagne is a much better option than Thomas.

They would see that Ndidi shouldn't be playing CB over actual CBs.

They would see Maddison is wasted out wide and can do so much more centrally.

They would see Ward is a bombscare and needs to be taken out of the firing range.

So, with that in mind I can only assume the lineup will be something like:

                  Ward

Justin, Evans, Faes, Thomas

Tielemans, Ndidi, KDH

Maddison, Vardy, Barnes

Though I'm not ruling out him not starting Faes and shoving Ndidi in CB still.

Ward needs to be taken to a firing range with Rodgers holding his hand...

Any actual protests taking place?

I was deadly serious about fundraising for a banner flying across the stadium. Though a member on here took the trouble to email me to remind me it would be in the same airspace where Vichai lost his life, which then made me realise the banner could be seen in bad light.

And no, there is no other reason it should be seen in bad light. I don’t care that his spawned us an FA Cup win and failed to get us in the Top 4 twice,  look at us now FFS

At a guess.

      DW

TC JE WF JJ

       WN
YT          KDH

JM   JV     HB

I think that’s very likely the team Rodgers would pick, if still in charge

I’d want more fight in the team, so that we’re at least still in the game at the hour mark.

Something like this (and I know Cags has zero chance of playing!);

Ward

Faes

Evans

Soyuncu

Castagne

Ndidi

KDH

Justin

Maddison

Vardy

Iheanacho

What I would like back to basics, guts and hard work.

                   Iverson

Castagne  Faes    Cags JJ

Marc  Ndidi     KDH     Barnes

            Iheanacho  Daka

What Brent will pick:

                    Ward

Justin  Ndidi  Evans Thomas

   Madders Youri  Soumare

   Daka       Vardy    Barnes

If the club and his representatives really have been speaking about severance then tomorrows presser will have to be a good piece of acting from him

Hopefully Bourne asks him ‘have you had any messages of support from the board since Sunday’?

then he’ll have to lie with a straight face ……

He will simply respond I am here until I am told otherwise.

The lack of a right winger continues to haunt us! Perez instead of Castagne...?

Soyuncu if he hasn't left by then.

Harsh on KDH to miss out. Or Maddison goes right wing (ugh) and KDH goes in the middle.

A few days late but still lol

He uses a 3142 / 3412 with a variation in one of the 3 midfielders

Sometimes they will play with a defensive mid and two 8s in front, and other times they play with a double pivot and a 10 infront

I think the problem would be fitting Barnes into the team as he uses actual fullbacks/wingbacks rather than converted wingers

Can barely bring myself to even care about what the team he puts out broken and baffled.

I really hope the media go to town on him in the presser tomorrow. Would be interesting to see how he reacts to Owynn or Piper if they are there and I really hope Jason Bourne asks some awkward questions of him.

The one I want ro see him try and get out of, is if his players are effected by the negative atmosphere, has he considered how much of an impact his behaviour and attitude has been this summer and the repeated comments this squad lacks quality and is complacent because we haven't been able to strengthen it? Has he asked the players what they think or have they at any point shown any adverse reaction in recent weeks?
