The fact the sponsor-less element is an option should tell you everything you need to know about BC Game.

Boro and Sheffield United aren’t offering sponsor-less options, because Midnite are a “real” betting platform who need a return on their investment.

You might be well placed to answer this but do firms actually expect an ROI with football shirt sponsorship? I’d guess it’s from the x% of marketing spend for awareness campaigns. Although gambling I guess you can trace sign ups quite easily for offers but for day duty free or insurance I can’t imagine it moves the needle?

I mean ROI in sponsorship terms could be measured by sign ups for sure. But even just an increase in brand awareness signals like direct traffic etc would be considered too.

Doesn’t necessarily need to mean revenue but they’ll have plenty of KPI’s they do want to show a return on.

Sponsorships will drive overall sales if executed well, but it’s much, much more about long term brand building rather than short term sales. Thurs have other tactics to drive the short term, which wouldn’t be nearly as effective without the sponsorship.

Example - would Walkers sell more crisps by sponsoring us? No, but they’d get broad reach driving awareness, and have their image linked with us (the exact reason they shouldn’t sponsor us)

My sense is for a lot of firms it’s a vanity exercise, no way are most front of shirt sponsors granularly tracking. You’ll obviously know more than me but for Walkers it’s fine, not for companies where the return on ad spend is really consequential

A lot of bigger companies have bigger requirements for it to meet. Our media plans are TIGHT. Lots more accountability and governance, much less captain’s calls from senior leaders.

That said, yes there is more room as it wouldn’t eat up the totality of our budget like it would with other brands. And if it didn’t work at some level, Coca-Cola, the biggest brand on the planet wouldn’t be spending $200m on being a ‘FIFA Partner’.

I wish we as a fan base would be more frustrated at the club for the clear lack of commercial development to capitalise on some of these opportunities. We focus a lot on what we spend on wages/players/training grounds, but not a lot on what we bring in revenue wise. These are the revenue opportunities that don’t come from the fan’s wallets.

I hope they're not only selling that new shirt at Summer on the Square.  I can't get to Leicester for a bit!

It's sad that I'm more excited for that shirt than I am any potential new signings.

It's only natural.

You know the signings will be shit but there's a chance ....... just a chance that the shirt could be good.

You’ll be pleased to know, you can buy a sponsor free version for all three kits this year

Is the adidas originals like the mock up on here before?

I like the running fox badge and this shirt should look great, but our current crest is one of the best in the game imo

I think we are quite fortunate as a club that the majority of our badges have been absolute bangers.
