The two wide players are the weakest point in the team but we have four good options with the great prospect in Barnes and Perez who might just be getting into his stride. A wide player who is a cut above anything we have at the minute would be most welcome but is only really feasible if we can maybe move either Albrighton or Gray on. Edited 9 November 2019 by Gerard

I wouldn't sell Gray he could still become a regular here given time he seems to be improving under Rodgers. 3
LC/FC Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 I'll hold my hands up as someone who deemed Dimi not good enough with his previous displays but now honestly with Rodgers at the helm I've seen the improvements that I've been asking for from him. Granted it's still from off the bench as impact sub but from what has been shown, Brendan has finally gotten Gray to develop a footballing brain. Allied to the pace, skills and directness he already possessed, there's a chance now for him to become a very good player with his improved decision making. So with that shame admitted, I would like to keep Gray now to hopefully develop along with the rest of our youngsters, get better as footballers under Brendan and continue to soar as high as we can on the path we're headed.

It's price dependent for me, a £25m offer I would sell, a £15m offer I would probably keep and see if he continues to progress. As ever I'm happy to back BR judgement on him as he's seen enough to know were Gray's range is as a footballer. I've defended Gray for most of his time at this club because I believed he had great potential but although I think he has some excellent assets as a footballer his progression has been too slow and I see things in his game that I now believe he'll never overcome and thus I feel his destiny is as an average PL player. Gray still has a good reputation in the game and I would sell whilst his stock is still high. It's obviously a risk to sell but you have to make these decisions sometimes even if they could end up biting you on the arse. 2

murphy Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 I'm late to this thread but I just want to back up Gray's contribution on that second goal which was excellent. Great movement and vision. Not sure how someone found a way to criticise it tbh, Good to see maybe 9 people defending against one lone voice. Does that mean that Foxes Talk is only 10% stupid? I'll take that.
FoxFossil Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 25 big ones in the kitty for Grey, and stuffing spurs at the same time. Yes please. Then over £100m in the bank for Jan. Happy Days. (Bet the bugger comes on and scores the winner.) 1
Popular Post urban.spaceman Posted 9 November 2019 Popular Post Posted 9 November 2019 Thought he was excellent after coming on tonight. 7
Charl91 Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 (edited) Really is a super sub. Probably deserves another start at some point, because he keeps delivering off the Bench. Edited 9 November 2019 by Charl91 1
UniFox21 Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Game changed when he came on. He was direct and started to really test and stretch the Arsenal defence. 3
lifted*fox Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Looking lively and sharp under BR. Good lad.
Foxymcoxy Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Barnes has been below his best for a couple of games and Dimi is doing all he can. But is he better on the right? Would we drop Ayoze for him? Questions for Brendan.
TrentFox Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Looked excellent this evening. Really needs to start and grab the opportunity.

Good work on the wing and looked dangerous cutting inside. Couple shots on target on another day find their way in.
Shane Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 December is the perfect time to give him a chance from the start.
martyn Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 (edited) Keep him as an impact sub for now, but he is building up a run of really impressive cameos. I'd totally given up on him so his form is a pleasant surprise. Today what was most impressive was his decision making in the final third - always took the right option. IF (and its a big if) he can keep this up he has a future here Edited 9 November 2019 by martyn 2
AyewJoking Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Reminds me of when he used to come on and do a job in THAT season. Worrying that he is back in that situation 3 years on but impressive cameo and is Rodgers the one to clear the gray skies??? 1
Gazza M Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 A big turn around in form. Gone ahead of Albrighton in the pecking order now.
Paninistickers Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 The difference between him and Perez is stark. Game turned in its head the minute he came on
FoxinNotts Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Good player. Great impact player. Keep him coming off the bench, start him in the cups

Sir Shep Posted 9 November 2019 Posted 9 November 2019 Just goes to show how lucky we are at the moment to have Perez and Gray as options, pah, screw the media and their we haven’t got many options if someone gets injured. 1
