Does Martin have the cojones to take the board on once his feet are under the table? Does he have the authority to drive the club forward like Pearson did?

We need someone who will grab this board by the scruff of the neck and kick a few tables over. It’s the only way the board will learn.

He's the most "company man" type I can imagine lol

I can't wait to hear the excuses being rolled out when we're struggling to break down low blocks and conceding goals on the counter/or due to defenders trying to play like prime Pirlo.

His go to at Rangers was that the players were struggling with the pressure and he needs time to get through to the players and help them out with that. I'd expect if he is in charge and uses a young team, he'll go down that route again.

At least the excuses will be entertaining, we've not had a top notch excuse maker since Rodgers.

I thought that was after he left?

Yeah that's the point. He assembled the squad, left just as the season was starting and so the replacement manager Liam Manning just tweaked things slightly to make us a little more forwards than sideways, and we finished third after being in a promotion battle until the very last day.

Isn't the whole point that he is not the LCFC DOF?

In theory the restructuring means we are now able to move quicker with Mcarron being fully focused on the day to day at LCFC but as of now it feels like nothing has changed.

In terms of Rudkin I was more referring to previous years.

Love how we are still trying to play 'pep ball' despite the fact our players are getting shitter and shitter as we go lower and lower down the leagues lol

We're the pioneers of poop ball

Very subjective, but would Brussell have got the same success or was a lot of it Manning's doing? I know it's hard to answer and is probably a bit of both.

I can see him insisting that the players should be provided with a wider choice of fragrances and skin care products

And that League One is not the place for Pepball, even at its heyday.

And they keep getting managers that will just enable the clowns.  I could get behind it if the mistakes were corrected and the players made an effort all over the pitch.  Nothing is addressed by the players and staff.

JV to Winks to Skipp to JV to Thomas to Mavadidi, step over and pass back. Then we get done by a basic 1-2 cross into the box.

This is an obvious foreshadowing of the upcoming season.

Could be wrong but hearing he prefers Burnley job now than Leicester, looks like we're moving on with other candidates.

Burnley would not go for Russell Martin, Scott Parker to Martin would be a huge downgrade.

I have a hard time trusting people with "inside information" - last year we were told time and time again that Danny Rohl would be our next manager from people with connections inside the club - to find out he never interviewed. "Journalist" like Alan Nixon have everything to gain and nothing to lose by working for agents, putting managers names out there and then backtracking.

This is foxestalk ,where people try and get attention from pretending they have a club source and won't name where it came from. They know f*ck all

A few people have mentioned it on social media and a few websites in the last few hours.

Don't pretend to be in the know just relaying what I've read and heard.

A think a few people need to chill I'm just passing info on not ITK at all.

Exactly what an ITK would say.

My gosh. He should never be in consideration. Challinor please.

I'm hearing that it's going to be Mickey Adams, he wants another crack at it now that our financial situation is even worse.

If anyone can coax Tricky Trev out of retirement, it’s Mickey.

So the only credible link is from John Percy who claims that Martin is under consideration. That's it? Nothing else other than wild histrionics and doom mongers.

So dramatic on Foxestalk.
