Now I want to apologize firstly for the pandemonium this post has the potential to cause. Let me be sure, this is the apology, ok?   :D

back in May 20206, Turki AlalShikh announced he was looking into the possibility of buying an English football club.

There have been some rumors he was in talks about investing in Derby County and that there was currently a due diligence process going on with regards to his suitability as an owner of an English football club.

just leaving that there…..

I actually can't stand that guy, but I will take him over Top and Rudkin.

I remember listening to Talksport months ago and the awful Simon Jordan was recommending that he bought Sheffield Wednesday.

I would be surprised if he invested in a League 1 club, but the foundation of the stadium plans and the impressive Seagrave is all there.

We know King Power take an age to do anything so I imagine if they do decide to sell, it won’t be overnight nags for sure.

Citi will be leading the process so it will be their timeline not king powers, unless they intentionally want to put the brakes on it which would be daft.

I hope the Leeds case doesn't scare away any potential buyers. That could add some millions to the purchase price down the line, athough I still think that is unlikely.

Any buyer will factor that potential litigation  into the EV and say to KP, our bid is £xx and this includes a discount for potential litigation, the buy side lawyers will be all over it and will have a way to put a monetary value on it - then it’s up to KP lawyers and Citigroup to negotiate that point.

it feels far too early in the legal process to have an idea of what the potential legals costs and compensation could eventually be. It is certainly not a deal ender, but it could complicate the process and make buyers uneasy. Hopefully, it won't be a factor though, as I really want King Power out of here.

Turki is scum he had someone thrown in prison for 19 years for a mildly critical tweet. Not sure I could still follow the club if this happens.

See you all in prison then Foxestalkers :surrender:

I think it’s more long term portfolio’s for some consortiums.

We’re unique, in that we’ve had success in modern football which is rare for clubs of our size, so that’s going to be a big pull for potential owners, to have that as a poster for their brand.

I get the impression, generally consortiums from the Middle East do like long term projects, and if one can see a achievable rebuild it could work wonders for both club and consortium… we’ve got a larger than normal world wide footprint thanks to our recent success, and this I think will help.

All I want is a board room that value the fans and have the drive to rebuild the club properly with longevity in mind.

We’re a good rebuild story, and that’s probably the one thing I hope attracts decent buyers.

Yeah there's definitely some "romance" to us in our current predicament but these Middle Eastern lads with trillions down the back of the sofa want to engage in dick swinging contests — I just can't see any of them being interested in a League One club. Doesn't mean we can't attract decent investors, of course

I think it would be more complicated than that, but hopefully not enough to put any buyers off.

There’d be more words because lawyers are paid by the hour, but that would be the gist of it

None yet

Ok, I mean it wouldn't surprise me lets wait and see.

As a big boxing fan not sure how I'd feel about that but at this point it's anyone but this current setup.

21 players out the door and two signed and Wout Faes is now a thing again.

Yep.

If it is him, I would hope he wouldn't have time to be the face of it, as not sure I could put up with him.

Is it actually Turki that’s being linked into the deal sorry, any evidence of this?

Nope. I think people are just throwing the name out there, as he's someone recognisable from the Middle East.

Although he has been fluttering his eyelashes at, and been shown the door by multiple EFL clubs, so it could be that he's finally reached us...

Feels however with how we've had multiple reputable outlets reporting this today, that we will find out something a bit more concrete quite shortly.
