Does everyone realise this pretty much guarantees there will be no more signings during the takeover process so this will be our team at the start of the season minus anyone we sell

I'm trying to make sense of the timing... we get reports that KP are possibly interested in selling then a few hours later, we are told that they are in talks with a "middle Eastern firm".

 

Is it a case of SSN taking the initial report and making an educated guess with the hope it appears they have inside knowledge OR they've been sitting on knowledge that would expose the source and when the first news broke, they showed their hand?

My guess would be FT piece is a club line (advertising open to offers) and the consortium have reacted by using someone to feed their interest to SSN to indirectly let LCFC know they aren’t messing around

If it means getting rid of Top and Rudkin, I really don't care about that right now. I know it will have a negative impact if we have to wait until January to make more signings, but being stuck with King Power is far more detrimental to our longterm future.

Possibly but the way I'm looking at it is yes, it COULD be worse than we have it now under KP but it could also be better. Sticking with what we have COULD also get worse but I don't see it ever getting better. Are they suddenly going to realise that the ability to run a football club was inside them all along like a Disney movie?

King Power have been on the brink of bankrupty for years now. Top and Rudkin have dragged us down to League 1 and shown a level of incompetence that is laughable. 

 

I am all in on rolling the dice now with new owners.

Did you think there would be then? If we sign anyone for a transfer fee this summer i’ll fall off my chair. Frees and loans like last season

not 100% guaranteed. There could still be an agreement between Top and the potential new owner for the Manager to get some more players in to help the team with promotion, which ultimately benefits the new owners. We are hardly talking about spending 10s of millions here, it will be loans and free signings/low cost.
