Doing some very, very basic research (sitting in my pants searching for Middle Eastern firms)……

The firm that stands out to me are
International holding company

https://www.ihcuae.com

Closely linked to them is the “royal group”

Who are chaired by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahnoun_bin_Zayed_Al_Nahyan_(national_security_advisor)

Their principle ownership is the Abu Dhabi royal family, the only sticking point is they’re worth £300 billion….. which would make us the wealthiest club in the world….. which makes this highly unlikely and a pipe dream.

I get the idea of buying low, the club has to actually be for sale etc. — but if you have an infinite pot of wealth, you'd just buy a club higher up the pyramid wouldn't you? Something a bit more plug in and play like Man City / Newcastle

I hope the Leeds case doesn't scare away any potential buyers. That could add some millions to the purchase price down the line, athough I still think that is unlikely.

I’d imagine that this would be just covered off in a contractual term, along the lines of: “The previous owners are responsible for any costs of litigation in progress”

And you cannot just buy your way to it now. You can't overspend in the EFL and take a fine in the Premier League now as we have done previously- you would receive a potentially pivotal points deduction.

If owners are sensible they would look at building the club up, improving the stadium, attracting good sponsorship and commercial deals. We failed hugely to maximise our potential earnings during the successful period and it has left us with no insurance in a decline.

We are an attractive investment but no huge hitter will be interested.

The people with the money to buy us and sort us out and expand the stadium so we can compete don't have morals.

They've all trodden on lot's of people or broken many laws/rules.

And I would rather none of those people come anywhere near our club.

There are levels of dubious and ones that we can definitely make destinctions between but good luck finding a single billionaire that isn't morally dubious in any way

Yes I agree.

I think it’s more long term portfolio’s for some consortiums.

We’re unique, in that we’ve had success in modern football which is rare for clubs of our size, so that’s going to be a big pull for potential owners, to have that as a poster for their brand.

I get the impression, generally consortiums from the Middle East do like long term projects, and if one can see a achievable rebuild it could work wonders for both club and consortium… we’ve got a larger than normal world wide footprint thanks to our recent success, and this I think will help.

All I want is a board room that value the fans and have the drive to rebuild the club properly with longevity in mind.

We’re a good rebuild story, and that’s probably the one thing I hope attracts decent buyers.

I think the long and short of it all is that football clubs and football in general has become a very easy “money movement” WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE vehicle.

I think it would be more complicated than that, but hopefully not enough to put any buyers off.

I do have a feeling we will absolutely price ourselves out of this. The idiotic son will think he has god given right to get £400 million when its probs worth half now what he has done to it. It will only sell to someone with more money than sense that wants to desperately buy a “big” club.

Seems a bit too convenient for this to break the same day as the news the club is for sale.

A month or so apart then yeah maybe there’s something in it.

It’s so vague as well that it feels like it’s just simply to reemphasise the point for those that missed it that the club is available.

If there was something in it, however, then Leicester fans would be amongst the easiest to sportswash. We’ve seen a mini version of it/master manipulation tactics with King Power already.

The club has been rumoured to be on sale for a while , maybe negotiations are in the latter stages with interested parties?

As someone posted earlier, it might be a case of one side leaking first, and then the other side trying to get back control of the narrative.

Leaking that you are selling could attract more buyers. Leaking that you are the party in talks to takeover the club, puts back pressure on the unpopular owner(s) to sell

Doha. Paris. Leicester. In that order.

I saw a tradesman's van the other day that had the strapline London, Paris, Milan, Kernow (but mainly Kernow) and it did make me smile.

It’s pretty soulless being run by Aiyawatt tbqh.

Middle Eastern investment is hardly that bad in the grand scheme of things?
