That was a performance full of poor performances from poor players who are poorly trained. Any semi decent side would've beaten us tonight and we were lucky to be playing one of the few professional sides in this country currently worse than us

The standard of that game was absolutely disgraceful. The fact you’ve got Luke Thomas prancing about in central midfield for 15 minutes proves that. 
 

we beat what was in front of us but my god it was 90% really poor football that was decided by the quality of Smallbone, Page and Alves, Doyle at times but even Riis for me had a poor game and ends up with two. 
 

 I am genuinely disgusted having sat through watching that game

Happy with 3 points but that was a tough watch

 

Braybrooke gave us a lot of energy in midfield alongside some tiring legs for us and them. Chaplin was bang average and I think that's being generous. 

 

It's been drilled into the team so much to be cautious that when when there's space to run into they're turning around backwards. Even some of the play around the box was 1 or 2 passes too many. 

 

Sounds quite moany, granted, after a 3-0 win but it really wasn't an exciting watch. Having a 'natural' finisher does help. And one positive was finally seeing Kangasniemi. Caused some havoc as I don't think Wigan knew what to do

Can't remember the last time I felt this unenthusiastic about a 3-0 home win.

I want my excitement with football back. Somehow.

Negatives:
Okoli being a bombscare again, but because Wigan were shit, it didn't matter

Play going forward is appalling for most part, even against shit opposition like Wigan

We need another striker on the bench, Riis can't do this on his own twice a week for too long

Lack of leaders – you notice once Lundstram's not on

 

Chapling needs more minutes, looked absolutely knackered after the first half.

The best thing about the sky sports coverage of our home games this season is hearing the fans sat near the mic shout "Noooo!" every time a player , typically Okoli, make a terrible choice of pass, typically back to the goalkeeper

On a serious note I'd say that we shouldn't pass to Riis outside of the final third. He can't hold up the ball and it isn't his game he's clearly a poacher. Anyone who does £500 fine, the method the tactical genius Neil Warnock coined.

Chaplin and Doyle really didn't work, Braybrooke looked ridiculously comfortable in the 6

On the face of it. We won, scored 3 and conceded none. You’d think that was great. But this game tells me something else entirely. We’re absolute cack and with Martin at the helm we’re mid table at absolute best.
