I wonder if Top and Rudkin have asked themselves why in less than ten years the Leicester manager's job has gone from one of the most attractive jobs in football to something of a poisoned chalice. Any manager now appointed will be expected to achieve immediate promotion from the perspective of most outsiders and probably by the owner too, notwithstanding the lack of talent, money and leadership that presently afflict us.

This will be embarrassing if we haven't got a manager in the next week or so. There is so much work to and they've had time to sort it. Even Stockport are more efficient than us. 

 

We've got players to move on, a squad to assemble,  preseason to plan for, preseason games to arrange. Other teams are starting to do this, but not us.

 

This is a big summer, probably the biggest in recent history that we can't get wrong and it feels like we're dilly-dallying around with someone who doesn't want it....again Or they're on their holidays and not really taking it seriously at all.

 

I hope to see a manager in place soon and players starting to move on and being linked with replacements. It has to be a busy summer to change our fortunes, at he moment it screams incompetence...AGAIN

Yep they've learned nothing, just a repeat of last year and we know how that ended.

We sacked Cooper whilst he was higher in the league than him.

2023/24 championship stats arguably more relevant. I'm sure they'll say Russell Martin's Southampton were ranked No1 for dominant possession, shots on target / xG but ranked poorly for tackles, interceptions and frequently conceding goals from errors as we've all seen with his brand of high risk bait football. Great when it works, horrific when it doesn't.

We shouldn't be surprised. But I think what we are surprised about is it seems they don't learn.

Pearson last time in league 1 20th June.

 

 

So if we go beyond next week they really haven't learnt from last summer.

Maybe we should hire Roy Keane based on that one season he had at Sunderland.

His entire career is built around an amazing 25 game unbeaten streak, which is impressive but this is how they finished that season.

Enzo was brought in less than 3 weeks after relegation and it took a while to sort out all his coaching staff.

 

There was loads of faff around the Pooper appointment. We refused to pay a small fee for Corberan and his men.  Steve’s coaching staff also took a while to sort out (seems to be a bit of a thing). 
 

This summer is so crucial and the board have already p***ed half the summer up the wall. 
 

We never replaced Enzo’s fitness coach.

We haven’t had a first team GK coach since Marti was sacked.

We somehow STILL have Hughes on the staff.

So frustrating.

It’s shocking tbh pure neglect towards a football club and its fans. The lessons haven’t been learnt from previous seasons,same idiots making the same idiotic mistakes. I genuinely believe that we could be in a relegation scrap again next season if things don’t start to turn around soon.

Managed to get 22,000 actual humans to purchase season tickets for the upcoming season. Solid return from the club
