Not really any point taking the titles away because going forward no one is going to take those achievements seriously anyway.

Apparently to be kicked out there needs to be a vote with 15 teams agreeing to boot them out .

 

 

 

I think this is what happened in Scotland to Rangers when they got demoted down the leagues .

We broke FFP rules in 2013/14. Permitted overspend was £8m and we reported an overspend by £20m.

 

Might have been more if not for King Power sponsorship deals, and while the Vichai era was a million times more professional than his son's, I wouldn't be shocked if those deals helped cook the books in our favour.

Agreed. It's the arrogance of the oil-rich "power families" of that region which are driving those over-confident statements. They've got so used to paying themselves out of trouble (and to throw cash to get whatever they want). 

 

Not going to wash here, though. Will be a rude awakening.

This will go the way of the Chelsea Abramovich saga I’d imagine and they’ll be forced to sell the club, as they’ll not be deemed fit for purpose.

 

Also, I’m just waiting for someone to look at us and try and understand if BC Game is also “tagged money”, put in by King Power through the back door, as that is basically what Manchester City are being accused of. 
 

It still doesn’t alter my opinion though that they did this to compete with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, who themselves are allowed to spend money willy nilly, as historically they spent more to grow larger. 
 

On the face of it though, I’d suggest they’ve maybe broke UK law in being rather dodgy! So this will go criminal. 
 

Appealing to go to the High Court might make this worse for them!

You can rightly argue that FFP is a nonsense designed to stop exactly this for of investment to the benefit of those larger clubs, but once the rules were in place they were obliged to follow them.

Strip titles and cups from them.

 

(but don't allocate those honours to the runners up, just leave them as blank)

 

EPL and EFL to work together and relegate them a few divisions, à la Juventus.

 

Fine them massively and give the money to grassroots football charities.

 

Make a PL / EFL rule that clubs can't litigate for supposedly lost earnings based on this sort of thing -  the governing bodies' sanctions need to be the end of the matter.

I'd be highly surprised if this were the case, given the clubs inability or unwillingness to continue to pump money in to the club to cover the losses. That said, i've always found it baffling why companies as nondescript as FBS or BC.GAME would pay the reported amounts to sponsor us. I get why massive organisations do it but don't see the monetary gain for many others.

We broke the rules trying to compete and keep up with them.

Not forgetting the increase in ticket prices and all around optional costs of attending like food, programmes, kit and other stuff from their shops. Overall inflation would have pushed these up but not to the level they've now reached

Of course, assuming the prize money remains the same with these leeches gone. Even the greedy five (lol) will be rubbing their hands at the thought of a main competitor for those UCL spots, TV spots and league winners' cash disappearing overnight.
