Barnsley 1-1 LCFC, FT thread

Saw there was an early goal to us and presumed the red card was against us when I saw the final score. 
 

Scraped a 1-1 draw away to 10 man Barnsley. 
 

Just dire.

Is there no one player in there who, when “shooting” cannot feign the shot a bit, and actually improve the possibility to score?

it obvious it just isnt going to happen under Martin, we are looking at long term league one football if he stays, surely the aim was to get automatic promotion, but the tactics are all wrong, it seems we have the talent if played right, but under Martin thats not what your going to get that, we are 7 games in and hasnt been single game where we have been totally convincing, for the quality of manager he claims to be and the budget we have compared to the rest of the league it just isnt good enough and there no signs it will improve anytime soon.

I’m not really sure we do have the talent, and if we had this style of tippy tappy football is never going to develop it

Terrible result, especially given the circumstances. Frustrated to see us getting cut open again for their goal, and such a stupid mistake by O'Hora given his experience. 

 

Sammy needs to stick that header away in the 1st half, such a feeble attempt. Annoyed too that Burns chose to take the shot in the 2nd half with the keeper almost on the edge of his box. A square pass inside and it's a nailed on goal. 

 

Only positive to take is that's 2 in 2 for Cullen, but aside from that, we really should be ripping apart a poor team down to 10 men.

Now, even I  didn’t think we’d manage that, despite my joke about scraping a draw in the match thread. This is beyond embarrassing. Barnsley on an absolutely shit run of form and we stagger to a draw vs 10 men. Abominable. Utter joke.

i think if players allowed more freedom, Martins style just puts too much pressure on player to the point they switch off or make mistakes, it must be a pretty boring style of play as a player to have to follow.

Cullen should off had 3 in 2
