Got the ball first. Even if just a slight touch technically makes it not a penalty. They could have checked the technology in the ball to check for the touch too

Dodgy as owt. You can think it’s a penalty, but for the referee to only be shown one angle (the one where you can’t see the touch on the ball) is pure corruption.

 

Meanwhile you’ve got Christina Unkel flip-flopping in the studio depending on what decision she thinks is going to be given. First the touch on the ball is crucial, then it’s irrelevant 😂

No idea why they didn’t bother showing the ref the angle where he got the ball. Still potentially a penalty, but seems like a terrible process

The stop start pen will never make sense to me. With the amount of misses, surely its not done on purpose but somewhat of a mini panic during the runout by the taker

It's about buying time to force the keeper to move before they kick it.  When it works.

Stutter stop gives a huge advantage to the keeper. Won’t be long before coaches start banning them.
